The Pantanal

An insider's guide to the Pantanal featuring hotels, reviews, rates and activities to do.

David and Linda's Wildlife Holiday to Brazil

David and Linda had a fantastic holiday to Brazil in September 2017. The highlights included staying in a lodge in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, searching for jaguars in the Pantanal and then four nights relaxing at the Iguassu Falls.

Barra Mansa

A family-run lodge in the heart of the southern Pantanal, Barra Mansa is one of the more difficult lodges to reach in the Pantanal but for that reason it is one of the most rewarding.

Robert and Andrew

Robert and Andrew travelled with us to Brazil to see the highlights of what South America can provide. Starting off with the mighty Iguassu falls and the variety of bird life, they then headed into the Pantanal for jaguars, and finally into the Amazon for giant otters and anteaters. Robert was kind enough to share a few of his photos with us!

Deville Prime Campo Grande

Owned by the group Deville, the Deville Prime Campo Grande combines high standards of rooms with good facilities. The best hotel of its kind in Campo Grande, it provides a comfortable bed for a night between transfers in or out of the Pantanal.

Caiman Ecological Refuge

A model for ecotourism and conservation projects, and set within the boundaries of a 53 000-hectare ranch, the Caiman Ecological Refuge offers some of the best opportunities to view wildlife and, of course, the elusive Jaguar, in the Southern Pantanal.
