A great itinerary for those short on time
Tackling the biggest country in South America is not an easy task but for the short term visitor Brazil won't disappoint. We have put this basic itinerary together to draw in elements that are sure to give you an introduction to the best of what this amazing and diverse country has to offer. In under two weeks you can experience the buzz of Rio, the might of the Iguazu Falls and the history of Salvador da Bahia, a melting pot of traditions and culture. Once you have been, you will be sure to want to return!
Travel to Brazil
Overnight flight to Rio via São Paolo or a regional European connection.
Rio de Janeiro
Met and transferred to Porto Bay Rio International Hotel to stay for 3 nights on a B&B basis. The following afternoon you may opt to have a full day Rio city tour covering all the highlights such as Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Statue of Christ the Redeemer. Your third day will be free to enjoy at leisure taking it as easy as only the Brazilians’ know how; perhaps spending quality beach time on Ipanema and Copacabana beaches.
Met and transferred to the airport for your flight to Iguazu. You will be taken on an afternoon tour of the Brazilian side of the falls on your first day and have a full day tour of the Argentinian side of the falls on day 6. This is one of the world's most spectacular sights with thousands of gallons of water plummeting over the edge every second...be sure to take the trip to the "Garganta do diabo" to stare into the throat of the falls but make sure to take a waterproof!
Salvador da Bahia
Transfer back to the airport in time for the flight to Salvador da Bahia. Met on arrival and transferred to Villa Bahia to stay for 3 nights on a B&B basis. You can start your exploration of this rich colonial town with a half day guided tour on day 8 and have free time to enjoy at your leisure with an optional day or overnight trip to the captivating Praia do Forte for more quality beach time before returning home.
Transferred back to the airport for the flight back to São Paolo to connect with your international flights.
